Skin cancer checks and mole removal

Australia has an extremely high incidence of skin cancers (one of the highest in the world). The cancer council states that 2 out of 3 Australians will be diagnosed with a skin cancer by the time they are 70. Therefore, it is of the utmost importance to be aware of any skin changes on your body and to have regular skin cancer screening. We provide comprehensive skin cancer checks, specific mole checks and minor surgical management.

A skin cancer check performed out our clinic will take about half an hour. The GP will go through your risk factors, then perform an examination, using an instrument known as a dermatoscope. They will then discuss the findings and recommendations which may include excision of a lesion, biopsy, cryotherapy, other therapy, or monitoring.
